How to overcome the fear of success

The fear of success comes in many forms: anxiety or phobias. I often have to remind myself that I am destined to achieve an overwhelming amount of success and so are you.

Here are 3 things that continue to help me overcome my fear of success:

  1. Don't wait until you're ready. Inspiration doesn't suddenly appear. I overcome this by changing my behavior and taking action. Set new goals even if the goal doesn't start immediately, Accept the challenge of achieving it. Remember that achieving the goal is a challenge.

  2. Don't underestimate how hard things will be. Don't be overconfident. Remind yourself how hard this goal is going to be to achieve.

  3. Don't give up too early. We live in a digital age causing us to be impatient and struggle with waiting the time it takes to reach a goal. Remember that just because you can't see immediate results, it doesn't mean you have wasted your time. Stay the course.

I do these three things every time I want to succeed at anything. During my weight loss journey, I reflected on a quote by Winston Churchill "Success is stumbling from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm". See 3 Lifestyle Changes and 22 Pounds later
