This movie treads a tricky line, both infuriating and charming viewers. The charm can be chalked up to star Clarke; she makes Lou the type of beguiling creature we've seen in films before who's often known as a "manic pixie dream girl" -- quirky, irreverent, and usually irresistible. Which is also where the infuriation comes in: The MPDG usually serves the function of making a male protagonist feel lightened and leavened, without experiencing much development herself. (All we really know about Lou in the movie is that she's cheery, optimistic, and kind; wears wacky clothing; and dreams of being in fashion in some vague way -- she was more fully developed, tragic back story and all, in the book.)

Louisa Clark has no aspirations to seek a life outside her small British town. She lives with her parents, works at the Buttered Bun, and sees her boyfriend of six years a few times a week. When the cafe closes, she finds herself out of a job. Because of the recession and her limited job experience, she's forced to take jobs that don't appeal to her. One of these is as a companion to a quadriplegic man who lives on his parents' estate near the town's castle. It's only across town, but socially it's a world away. Will, the man she's hired to look after, lived an exciting, successful life in London before an accident left him in a wheelchair. The two get off to a rough start, as Will resents anyone who tries to make decisions for him or doesn't understand the depth of his anguish over his condition. Chatty, quirky, funny Lou eventually breaks through the wall Will has built around himself, and a lovely relationship develops. The biggest issue is a decision Will is making about his life and future.
Overhearing an argument between Will's parents, Lou learns that Will has conceded six months to them before he will visit Dignitas in Switzerland for assisted suicide, as he is unable to accept a disabled life, which is quite different from the active, vivacious lifestyle he lived before the accident. Lou takes it upon herself to change his mind by organizing trips and adventures in an effort to show him that life is still worth living. Meanwhile, Patrick's jealousy regarding the time that Lou spends with Will increases until he and Lou split up.
In July 2014, it was announced that the film would be released on 21 August 2015.[19] In May 2015, the film's release date was moved to 3 June 2016.[20] In November 2015, the film's release date was brought forward, to 4 March 2016,[21] before being delayed again in January 2016, to its previous 3 June 2016 release date.[22]
However, we were in His thoughts, the idea of each of us was carried in His heart before the foundation of the earth. So, what does Jeremiah 1:5 mean, because many question whether we were spirit beings prior to birth?
John's Gills Commentary on Jeremiah 1:5 puts it this way: "Not merely by his omniscience, so he knows all men before their conception and birth; but with such a knowledge as had special love and affection joined with it; in which sense the Lord knows them that are his, as he does not others, and predestinates them unto eternal life; and which is not only before their formation in the womb, but before the foundation of the world, even from all eternity. The forming of the human fetus is God's act, and a curious piece of workmanship it is"
2. God knew us before we knew him.It is comforting and perspective-giving to recognize that our short, little lives are held and known by a God who is infinitely vast and eternal. He knows the end from the beginning in a cosmic sense, and our end from our beginning in an individual sense:
Lou begins to think differently of Will when she finds out shocking news that could change everything for the two of them. As time goes on and they are able to bond, Lou knows she has to do everything she can to make Will see that life is beautiful and that he can still experience joy, despite the fact that he is in a wheelchair. Will Lou be able convince Will that his life is still worth living? After all, Lou was much different before she met Will, so maybe she can change him too.
I had written seven novels before Me Before You and never troubled the bestseller lists. When I wrote it, I hadn't a clue that it would be the book to change things. My husband and I used to joke that it would probably be the book that killed off my career but luckily it went the other way.
Most of my books start with an image in my head. Me Before You started with the image of Lou dancing with Will in his wheelchair at his ex's wedding. This time, I had this image of her standing on a rooftop. I had this vision of her being perfectly together in her professional life but coming home and being unable to hide her own hurt. Once I had the image I could start.
Released in June, 'Me Before You' is based on the book by the same name which tells the story of Louisa Clark, a working-class girl who starts working as a caregiver for Will Traynor, a billionaire left paralysed. Feelings soon develop between them, with the island of Mallorca as the perfect backdrop for their love story.\n","articleBody":"In the film, the couple enjoy a beach holiday in Mauritius, but the scenes were actually filmed in Mallorca's Cala Formentor, a paradise of white sand and crystalline waters near Pollença.\n\nThe crew definitely had a great time on the Balearic island, judging by the pictures shared on Instagram by the stars of the film. To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. ... 041b061a72
